Medpost - Connecting Across the Global Healthspace

Zaptag has launched its doctor portal, Medpost.co.uk enabling health practitioners to post new consultation records to a patients account.

Using their normal browser medical staff can create a record, attach files and upload securely online into an individual’s online personal health record. This can include information such as immunization records, consultation notes and X-ray images. This uniquely enables people to start building their own health picture.

A key benefit is the accessibility. By using a standard browser there is no technological limitation, the system simply links in with the in house records system and effectively enables any doctor to start connecting.

Zaptag provides a simple and secure solution, to encourage patients to take ownership of their medical records and permit the sharing of this information with their medical practitioners. Doctors or healthcare professionals can upload records directly to a patient's Zaptag account, using Medpost.

Uploading a record is quick, easy and secure. The application enables any Microsoft Word, PDF or image/video file to be added to a new or existing Zaptag account. If the patient does not have a Zaptag account, then the doctor simply creates a record, posts online and the patient will receive an invitation to register. It's that easy.

The release of Medpost is another step for Zaptag in realising its ambition to enable individuals to connect with their wellness partners within their healthspace.

Each standard plan, labeled A through L, offers a different set of benefits, fills different“ gaps” in Medicare coverage, and varies in price. Medigap plans K and L are new plans that became available in 2006. The basic benefits for Medigap plans K and L are similar to the basic benefits offered in plans A through J, but these plans have lower monthly premiums and have higher out- of- pocket costs.
